Applying Aircraft Safety Technology to the Transportation Industry
Promoting Vehicle Safety In All Fields
Vehicle Safety Foundation Inc is an inspiring 501-C3 Corporation with a mission to revolutionize safety across all modes of transportation. Established by Aerospace & Aviation expert John Faegol in 2022, we strive to provide cutting-edge technology and research on safety in the transportation industry whether on land, ocean, air or even outer space!
The Future of Vehicle Safety Research
Vehicle Safety Foundation Inc is invested in the future of vehicle safety, considering ahead of time the predicted impacts of a wide range of near-future technology that is becoming increasingly common both in everyday life and industry. Unmanned vehicles, hybrid cars, and personal/business drones are all considerations that a modern safety researcher must consider in analyses and testing.
Public-Use Technology, Research, and Education
Our goals include educating the public, and making resources and research available to broader audiences! By doing so, we help make people more aware of potential hazards, promoting vehicle safety, while also aiding in collaborative efforts to overcome novel problems in the modern and future world.
Developing All-Vehicle Safety Systems
At Vehicle Safety Foundation Inc, we will facilitate testing for a variety of novel safety systems designed or conceptualized at our organization, researching how safety systems can apply to existing or new vehicles, enhancing the safety of vehicles, and helping prevent accidents in entirely new ways.
Existing Technology, New Applications
We also plan to carry out testing and research on existing safety systems - both to determine their suitability for changing modern environments and whether they can be applied in novel ways. Developing the systems in these ways could advance vehicle safety with a minimal upfront cost to existing operators.
Artificial Intelligence, UAS Vehicles, and Vehicle Safety
The increasing rise in interest in Unmanned, Autonomous, and Semi-Autonomous vehicles, along with the increased capacity of artificially intelligent learning systems, has opened up many new avenues for vehicle safety in the transportation industry. Public trust must be gained by thoroughly proving the safety of this young and rapidly-evolving field of science before it can be rolled out to many industries. Failure to do so can lead to a lack of engagement, especially with semi-autonomous systems being overridden for manual control. Research in this field can therefore benefit the industry as a whole.
Considering Safety for Robots & Robotic Prosthetic Devices
Existing safety devices, routines, and protocols are typically considered and planned around all users being healthy adult humans, but the increasing drive for automation and the increasing capability and availability of robotics, especially in the field of prosthetic devices may require a re-evaluation of those assumptions. Accommodating these possibilities can make the transportation industry safer and friendlier to users of robotic prosthetic devices, and enable further automation through robotics.
